Bartender -NO DRUG SCREEN

The Bartender is responsible for providing residents and guests with an excellent drinking experience in the food and beverage outlets in the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • As a member of the F&B team, work collaboratively with team members to ensure a positive experience for guests.
  • Ensure bar and service area are prepared for customers.
  • Greet guests in a warm and genuine manner.
  • Answer questions, provide information, and make recommendations.
  • Take orders and ensure accuracy.
  • Check IDs to confirm customers are the legal drinking age.
  • Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes; i.e., make great drinks!
  • Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed.
  • Open and close the bar.
  • Process payments using point-of-sale system.
  • Keep bar clean and arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive and enticing display.
  • Wash and sterilize stemware and service ware.
  • Monitor and ensure that no guest is 'over served' - understanding that they may have consumed alcohol prior to arriving at your bar; serve alcohol responsibly.
 

The successful candidate will…

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a bartender.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Possess the ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with associates, residents, family members and guests.
  • Have good problem-solving, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be a good team player; work well with others.
  • Be a “natural smiler” with a friendly personality and who likes people!
  • Be a reliable and hard worker, e.g., arrive to work on time, take initiative, be self-motivated, deliver consistent results, etc.
  • Be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be customer-oriented and have a “guest-first” mentality; look for opportunities to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to work standing up for long periods of time.
  • Be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Be willing to consent to and able to pass a criminal background check.
